Retake Nursing Board Exams

I just opened the Philippine Daily Inquirer and here’s what I just read:

“PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has ordered the retake of the June nursing board examination to redeem the image of Filipino nurses here and abroad, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita announced yesterday.

Ermita said Labor Secretary Arturo Brion was to meet today with officials of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to discuss the details of the retake of the exam that was marred by a leakage of test questions.

He also said Ms Arroyo had assigned the supervision of the PRC to the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE). Prior to the leakage controversy, the PRC was attached to the Office of the President.

“As to whether it will be a retake of everything or only the test where there was leakage, or whether it will be only for those who may have taken advantage of the review centers where they had registered, all these details will be discussed by Brion and the PRC,” Ermita told reporters at his weekly briefing in Malacañang.

According to Ermita, Ms Arroyo decided on a retake of the exam at a meeting with members of her Cabinet on Tuesday.”

So, I feel bad for those who did not cheat. I feel bad for those examinees who really worked hard to study, work hard to earn money so they could finish nursing and my heart goes to those who sends them to school.

This is what happens when a few sick demented people who wants to move ahead out of everyone would use the majority for all their sick, self-serving purposes. This is just purely another form of corruption. Just another form of thievery to you, to me, to all those hard-working Pinoys who wants a good life by taking the moral route.

Whereas it pains me to hear that probably everybody will have to retake the exams, I believe that in the end this will be better for everyone and to the future of nursing graduates and Filipino nurses.

As they retake the exams and claim the righteousness of the Nursing Board Exams and put the dignity back to our Pinoy Nurses - why don’t the government just shut down these schools who perpertrated these crime to the profession?

Gasolina

Ewan ko senyo, but in our part of the globe, napakamura na naman nang gasolina!, gusto ko nang mag-imbak nang tone-toneladang ginalon-galon na gasoline sa balay namin. Actually, sa sobrang mura, gusto ko na syang gawing mantikilya!

Per Capita

Hindi ko yata naintindihan yong recent news sa Philippine Daily Inquirer na yong per capita income daw nang Pinoy eh nag-improve under Arroyo at ngayon ay $1,340 something something na sya. Per year ba yon? Multiply by Php50, eh di Php67,000. Ano to? Sangaraw, Sanlinggo? Sambuan? Santtaon? But how come if you go the World Bank site and even dun sa CIA Factbook, yong GDP Per Capita nang Pinas eh $5,300 times Php50 di Php265,000. Inu-ulol yata ako nang mga binabasa ko!

Php50 to $1 na! At trying to break the Php49 barrier daw!

Hirap na magtrabaho sa labas nang Pinas. Sangkayod namin, an tagal bago makabuo nang isang dolyar. Whereas, am happy to hear na yong Philippine economy is doing good, eh kaming mga mega-work outside of PI ang mga losers nito. Sana bumalik sya sa Php56=$1. Masakit sa bulsa naming habang gumaganda ekonomiya ninyo. Mas sambarilis na dolyares ipapadala na namin. Eto nga feel na feel ko na ang kagat nang Php50=$1 kasi mas madaming dolyar gi-padala ko karon pambayad lang sa balay ko sa Pinas, whereas noon, konti lang. Mag-rally nga kayo dyan?! Basta. Ibagsak nyo! Kahit ano! Bagsak nyo! (O, naniwala naman kayo! Biro lang po! Kayo naman! Pinapasaya ko lang kayo!)

Coup na naman?!

Aba! Kelan na lang ba titigil tong KUH na to? Lahat na lang gusting maging presidente! Kuh ditto, Kuh doon! Tago muna! At mag-ku-kuh mamaya! —- (HOYYY! Tumahimik ka nga dyan! Dyaryong Thailand ang binabasa mo! Ulol!)

Philippines sending 2,300 OFWs to Japan….

Teka… Pinas lang yata ang alam kong bansang wala nang ginawa eh palayasin at alilain kami sa ibang bansa, ba’t ganon? Actually, ini-ingganyo pa nga na lahat nang mga pinoy at pinay eh lumabas nang pinas at dun maghanap nang tarbaho. Di ba tayo ang nag imbento nang Bachelor of Science in Caregiving? Wakit wala man lang pekealam gobyerno natin na ang hirap pag nawalay ka sa mga kabit mo? Ugh, I mean, pamilya mo, kapuso mo!

The World is looking towards Pinas

Na punuan ang kakulangan nang mga seaman officers. This should be good news to all those with seaman recruitment agencies. Gurang na raw at ulyanin na ang mga marine officers na mga hapon at kung sino sino pa and because puro pinoy ang mga seaman at sangkaterbang mga produktong seaman ang pinas, they’re looking at Pinas to satisfy world demand. O – mag seaman na tayong lahat.
