ako po ay isang nurse dito sa dublin, ireland. 10 months pa lang po ako dito at galing po ako ng saudi arabia for 3 years, wala pong nangyari sakin doon, una maliit ang salary, at talaga pong mahirap makaipon doon, dito po ay kumikita ako ng 3,600 EURO isang buwan (NET), wala papo dyan ang part time ko sa ibang hospital, 150 EURO po ang per day ko for a 6.5 hours of work, up to 60 euro per hour naman po ang O.T. at may yearly increament po kaming 150 EURO. ngayon po mayroon akong isang malaking problema na kailangan kong harapin.
una po bago ako napunta dito sa ireland ay pumirma po ako ng agreement at contract sa LEA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, NEW MEXICO,USA, with 18 US Dollar hourly rate. ginastusan po nila ang CGFNS at IELTS exam ko sa pinas, na
pareho ko naman pong ipinasa AWA NG DIYOS!, at kaya po ako nakarating dito dahil din sa kanila-ginamit ko ang IELTS EXAM RESULTS ko para sa LICENSE ko dito at VISA. Ngayon po dumating na ang notice of approval ko sa INS as immigrant, at pinipilit na po akong kumuha ng NCLEX as soon as possible.
ayoko na pong ituloy ang US DREAM ko dahil kontento na po ako dito sa IRELAND. pumapatak po kasi na 23 EURO per hour ko dito or 28 US dollar per hour. kumpara po sa pinirmahan kong contract sa US na 18 per hour. nag check
po ako sa web site ng US-dept. of labor at LEGAL po yong 18 US Dollar hourly rate ko sa LEA REGIONAL as LEVEL 1 US RN.
sa benefits po kasi dito after 3 years pwede na kong mag file ng NATURALISATION, no need for VISA pag mamasyal sa US, EUROPE ETC. at meron po akong life insurance dito worth 450,000 euro, pension plan after retirement na 1,500 euro or depende po sa last annual income rate. Health insurance cards and other benefits like INCOME PROTECTION SCHEME in case na ma disable ka up to retirement age. you can also bring your immediate family here.

WELL, eh I really don’t see any problem my dear fruit. Ano ka ba? Feel ko is that you feel guilty kasi tayong mga Pinoy eh sanay sa UTANG NA LOOB and feel mo me utang na loob ka dyan sa agency who helped you get overseas. Di ba? Anak, hindi ka si Mother Theresa ano?
Makinig ka anak. These companies (New Mexico ba kamo? Daming spies dyan! He He He) are only thinking about THEMSELVES. Ok?! Hindi ang kapakanan mo. They helped you get to travel overseas because they get a commission for hiring you. Those commissions could range anywhere between 5% to about 35% of your annual salary, ok? So, nagkapera na sila sayo at wala na silang pekealam. Although, kumikita pa rin siguro sila sayo depending on what kind of pay scheme they were able to work out with your employer. Here’s what I can tell you:

Follow your heart and more importantly, follow your gut feeling. Eh maganda na ang pera, trabaho at buhay mo in Ireland. Ano pa’t lilipat ka pa nang Amerika?

I’d say, base sa information na binigay mo, I’d stay in Ireland. Mag-ingat ka lang nga sa mga laklakerong mga yan kasi pag nalalasing ang mga yan, nakuuuu! baka maumbag ka nang dis-oras! Pero, mababait ang mga yan! Love na love ko yang mga Irish na yan! Parang mga Pinoy din ang ugali nang mga yan eh! Kaso lang nga pag bangag na, bugbug ang abot mo, ok?

Would you check your data on the $18 per hour? I really think that this number is way too small for a nurse here. Understand na baka yong website na pinuntahan mo is averaging the number. Why do I know? My sister is a nurse at university hospital here. My niece is also a nurse at another hospital here in Philadelphia. She alone is getting almost $30+ per hour. So, I could guarantee you, your $18/hour number is funky.

salamat po sa reply nyo. “kung saan ka masaya, suportahan taka” definitely i’ll stay in IRELAND.
Maliwanag na po sa puso at kaluluwa ko, ginagamit din po kasi ako ng DIYOS dito sa Kanyang gawain dito sa BAPTIST CHURCH,and i’m supporting and
sponsoring 1 child from basilan, mindanao thru CHRISTIAN CHILD FUND of IRELAND and another teenager from CEBU thru COMPASSION UK. Kung di ko man po matulungan ang buong pilipinas kahit 2 man lang ay matulungan kong makapag aral ng TAMA at WASTO. Bukod dito ang sarili kong
pamilya.
p.s. double check ko po ang US DEPT. of LABOR web site and it’s true and legal ang 18 US dollar hourly rate as US RN LEVEL 1 don sa NEW MEXICO, USA.

i am glad you’re happy in ireland..like you i’ve been an RN here in the US, $18./hr doesn’t seem right to me..there are plenty of US hospitals that give great benefits, get your NCLEX & apply by yourself, i am happy here…i’ve been to the middle east for 5 yrs-what a waste!!! i wish somebody gave me an advise 20 yrs. ago, i coul have come here in the us sooner…best of good luck to you

i would like to react s anaguguluhang nurse… i mean on the advise you gave her. maybe before giving any stupid remarks or pieces of advice you should do your own research first. remember that there are lots of people who will be reading this site. how can you say that there will be no problem. hello… don’t you know your law….? it’s very clear that what transpired is a matter of breach… BREACH OF CONTRACT… on the part of the nurse. she signed a contract in the first place. she shpould settle the matter first. matter of fact agencies are given ten thousand us dollars for every nurse they recruit that is why all expenses are shouldered by the agency pero kahit balinaliktarin natin may breach of contract here. i know of more than a few nurses who had been sued on the same case as this case. others evaded it by settling it before matters got worse. they paid back what was spent on them but you could be unlucky if the contract stipulated that in any case of breach you are to pay ten thousand us dollars. if you signed then you really have to pay that amount unless that nurse did not understand what she was signing. do not ask me why i have insights on such matter. i am a nurs by profession too and so with most of the members of the family. kung may tumama man sa sinabi mo is yung 18 per hour being far way out. yea there is some truth to that. that is the rate given to lpn’s or cna’s. that rate is the rate e few years ago.. yun lang and be careful with how you advise people.. do not mislead them……. hope you will not take this against me….

tagal ka na sigurong nurse dito kaya wa mo knowz na kapag new recruits from da turd world kawntri eh iba ang “beginner’s rate”… baka naman may cut ang agency ni jP di kaya? Meron pa nga knowz ko sa isang hosppital sa Texas na binibigyan ang mga pinoy nurses ng “crazy” schedule…basta bubunu-in nila ang otso oras per day, pero la silang regular na assignment, kung where sila needed, OR, ER, pedia, etc dun sila at minsan ang schedule pang nakukuha nila ay broken – hindi tuloy tuloy na 8 hours. Tinitiis lang nila kasi sa kontrata nga saka tanaw utang na bo-ot…saka they need to learn to drive pa saka get a driver’s license kaya they stay with the recruiter’s group…di lang nurses ang may ganitong fravlem, pati mga PT at guro noh… pero after a couple of years or less, vavuh ang mga byuti nila…
Lang misleading dun sa advise ng reyna noh… I would advise the dude the same thingee. Kung sister mo kaya itong ask ng advise, sasabihin mo bang paka martir sya at fanindighann ang kanyang kontrata? The agency doesn’t care about the recruits, they care about investments and profit! JP is one of their unfortunate investments and projected na nila wayy ahead ang loss sa ganitong situation kaya move on to the next issue…daming dafat pag usapan dyan! ( kuuu naalala ko tuloy yung mahaderang tagafagtanggol ni nicolasa na may I cry ng SERIAL RAPISTTT!!! )

tita reyna & everybody–happy holidays-dito sa ospital na pinapasukan ko maraming nurses na duamating, ang bigayan $18/hr-lahat sila night shift, walang differential, wala pang benefits till 1/2007,taga new jersey daw ang agency.’yung isang nars kasama ang asawa & anak-sabi niya utang niya daw sa agency $36,000. payable in 3 yrs. akala ko abolished na ang slavery , talaga naman na gigisahin ka sa sariling mantika, mahirap na nga sa ‘pinas-ganito pa ang ginagawa ng mga dupang na agencies…
