Ladies and gentlemen, I was pleasantly surprised this morning to get an email from my most loved site to read (O di ba?!), it’s the Philippine Daily Inquirer! I didn’t notice that THEY NOTICE. Whadyathink? Should Reyna Elena be unmasked now?! Is this the time? Well, here’s the email:

Subject: recommended investments for OFWs
24 April 2006
Dear Sir/Madam:
Good day!
I’m Kate Pedroso, I’m a research assistant for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. I am currently writing an article about the investments OFWs may look into here in the country. This is for our newspaper’s new section, Global Pinoy, which focuses on our OFWs.
I came across your site through the gov.ph forum, and I noticed you had a lot of ideas to share to our kababayans who may want to engage in business here. In this light, I would like to ask if I can e-mail you a few questions and also ask for your CV, so I would know how to attribute information I will get from our interview
Your site approaches the issue in a very practical manner, which I think is really helpful to those who are “searching for answers”
The main goal of my article is to put together a list of possible investment ventures for our OFWs. I plan to look not only into franchising ventures, but also in other investments like real estate and stocks.
Hoping for your positive response.
Sincerely,
Kate.

Hi Isidro,
Did you try going to POEA? At the very bottom of this page (HOME) there is a link to POEA and see if there are any jobs available for you. You just be careful with the agencies that you will be applying for.
I did met quite a number of Filipinos who are working for Marriott in the Philippines who were sent here for training. Yong iba were hired by the company here. Yong iba naman, umuwi. I’m not sure kung me nagtago. What I mean is, since you are working for a 5-star hotel in the city, why not contact the head office and see if there are any jobs available for you. I’m sure it would not hurt.
Good luck sa yo!
