Here’s my global economic crawl once again…

  1. 9 US states recruiting Filipino nursesO ayan, baka iwanan na naman ninyo mga tarbaho ninyo’t mag magnursing na naman kayo ha? Baka uugod ugod na kayo bago kayo makagraduate nyan. But here’s good new to those wanting to work in the US as nurses. Except that, did I hear that there’s a mandatory 3-year na magtrabaho ka muna sa Pinas before you can travel and work overseas? Anyway, click the link and follow the story.

Another story that there are not enough nurses: Of course we know that already!

At least nine US states are now “eagerly recruiting” Filipino nurses and other health professionals, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines said. Former senator and TUCP general secretary Ernesto Herrera identified the nine US states as California, Texas, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and New Jersey.

  2. Turkish mission to push trade with RPOn May 11-12, Manila will host a Turkish trade mission composed of 50 Turkish companies looking for prospective agents, distributors, and trade partners in the Philippines.

These companies are manufacturers/producers of food and agricultural products (including dairy products, vegetables, flour, pasta, biscuits, confectionery and chocolates, fruit juice, olive oil, tomato paste and ketchup, dried fruits, yeast, tobacco); textile (to include woven fabric, synthetic filament yarn, woven pile fabric, home textile, carpets and kilims); construction materials (to include marble, travertine, brick, concrete, aluminum and tin plate, materials made from iron and steel, copper, and materials made from copper, others).

O ayan, if you have your own business already and if you want to tie up with Turkish businesses, follow this story by clicking that link.

  3. Workers for the WorldThe country’s prime export is people. But is migration a real development strategy?
